Hi, my name is Tracy Ramsey. I am 56 years old. In January of this year, I was hospitalized for 9 days with Influenza A, and they also found 3 spots of low-grade carcinoma in my bladder, which they removed with surgery. I was rechecked in March, July, and October, and it hasn't come back. I will continue to be checked for 5 years from them finding and removing it.

Again, in September, I was taken to the ER for severe uncontrollable back pain and nausea. A CT scan was done and found a mass on my pancreas. An MRI was done the next morning to confirm. I was sent to Indianapolis University Hospital for a biopsy because they thought it was cancer.

I had a biopsy that later showed I had a neuroendocrine tumor on my pancreas. They then scheduled me for a PET scan to see if it had spread.

The PET scan showed the tumor on my pancreas and a spot had spread to my liver.

I saw Dr. Ryan Ellis the same day after the PET scan to talk about treatment.

He scheduled me for pre-op on October 30 in Indianapolis.

I'm scheduled with Dr. Ryan Ellis on November 4 and for surgery on November 12. I will have to be there at 7 am and surgery at 9 am. We will go to Indianapolis on the 11th and spend the night due to having to be there at 7 am. They are an hour ahead of our time.

The plan is to remove half my pancreas, my spleen, and the spot that spread to my liver. This surgery is 5 hours if all goes well and 5 days hospitalized if all goes well.

We were told if after surgery I'm not in a private room, then my husband Scott would have to stay in a motel.

I have already been off work for a while due to health/medical issues and now these 2 cancers.

We are needing help with extra expenses such as a motel room, gas, and food for him while I'm in the hospital. We are also needing some help to pay on bills.

I have had several ER visits due to so much pain and nausea and throwing up uncontrollably. They have increased my pain meds four times trying to help with the pain. I have such horrible pain in my mid to right back. They have prescribed different medications trying to help with nausea. I'm trying to have/keep my faith.
