Tractor Pete (Pete Azevedo) is an 87-year-old retired Air Force veteran and a beloved local icon who has always been there for his friends, family, and neighbors. Recently, Pete faced a difficult setback when he suffered a fall, making it challenging for his family to provide all the care he now needs. Since the passing of his wife in 2018, Pete has worked hard to maintain his health, home, and car, but these responsibilities have become increasingly difficult with time. While the family has been able to use the VA to assist with some of Pete's medical needs, there are many expenses that the VA simply does not cover.

On top of his regular needs for medication and food, Pete's home has experienced two significant incidents—one involving the septic system and another caused by a landslide. These unexpected events have added to the strain on Pete and his family, making it even more difficult to keep up with essential repairs and daily living expenses.
