We need your help! The last year or so has been very difficult, but we've managed to keep our heads above water. However, this last month has been much harder, and now we are looking at not having enough for rent, phone, insurance, medication, and food.

A little about us. I, Tracie, am an ordained minister serving an online congregation with a very small budget. I only have part-time hours there. I also work at a community college as a writing tutor for about 28 hours a week. To fill in the gaps in the budget, I do freelance work, guest preaching, and other gig work.

My husband, Richard, has been on long-term disability for over a year now due to PTSD. His providers do not feel he can go back to work for at least another year. His LTD paid the rent, so my checks could cover the other bills. However, at the end of 2025, they reviewed his case from the medical side and felt that it could be discontinued. We had that happen the year before, and after an appeal, it was reinstated. We are expecting the same with this one, but we won't hear until March 30 (which means, even if it's approved, it won't come in time to pay many outstanding bills).

This last month, I got hit with a flare of my fibromyalgia, missing a week of work, which cut a check in half. Then, I got a concussion and stomach bug and missed almost a week of work after already having Spring Break drop a week of pay.

We are at risk of losing our health insurance, which is vital for my husband's treatment plan. He's made great progress, but still has a long way to go. We also have some neurology appointments he needs to schedule that we can't do without money for copays.

We're not asking for much. I am hopeful that things will turn around soon. But, we are staring down the very real reality of an eviction with nowhere to really go, especially with three cats.

Here's a breakdown of what we need:
Rent: $1875
Health Insurance: $800
Car Insurance: $190
Electric: $350
Phone bills (this is the total between us): $291
Medications (that are ready to be picked up but we have no money for it): $100

Anything you can give would be great. This is hard for us both to ask for help, but that's where we are, and I believe in the idea of mutual aid. If you can't give, please share. Thank you!
