Expenses Following the Passing of Chris Recabo
Donation protected
On Tuesday, February 25, 2025, Chris was admitted to the Emergency Department in Fort Myers, FL, to treat recurring gastric ulcers and internal bleeding. He successfully underwent surgery to address the ulcers; however, unforeseen complications arose both after the procedure and during attempts to bring him out of sedation. Chris had been in the ICU relying on life support measures. Unfortunately, after careful evaluation, it became clear that the damage to his brain was too severe to sustain life, and we are having to make the heartbreaking decision to let him go. He was removed from life support and is being given comfort care to pass peacefully on his own.
He loved his beautiful wife, the beach, fishing, and his family. With his loud voice and larger-than-life presence, being around him was always an adventure. His enthusiasm, energy, and spirit will be deeply missed. Chris and Tracie shared an extraordinary bond, always embarking on adventures and discovering new experiences together. Their love was evident to everyone who knew them, truly each other’s heart and soul.
His wife, Tracie, is now and will be facing an incredibly challenging time, both emotionally and financially, as Chris did not have life insurance in place. Chris’s wife is in need of support to cover medical bills and other unexpected costs during this heartbreaking time. Any contribution, no matter the amount, would be deeply appreciated and will allow her to focus on grieving and honoring Chris.
Your support, generosity, and kind thoughts mean the world to us as we navigate this difficult period. Thank you for your compassion and understanding.
