Our beautiful & much loved friend, Tracey Maben, has recently received news that no family ever wants to hear. Her husband & father to their two daughters (14 & 16) was very recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Terminal Cancer. Unfortunately Drew’s condition has deteriorated rapidly, and Tracey has become his primary carer. This of course means she is currently unable to work while she focuses on her family.
Drew & Tracey met & fell in love 25 years ago & have been inseparable since, creating a beautiful life with their teenage daughters on the Sunshine Coast. They are a very tight knit family unit & this recent news has understandably rocked their world.
Ask anyone, and they’ll tell you that Tracey is the kindest, most caring person they know. She lights up the room & is famous for her joyous & positive energy. Tracey is an integral part of the Coolum High community & goes above and beyond to ensure staff, students & their families are supported - always with a a big smile on her face. She gives endlessly to those lucky enough to know her.
Tracey has touched the lives of so, so many people, many of which have expressed a desire to support her & the family through this difficult period.
We’d like to show our support by helping to ease the financial pressures that their family will face in the weeks, months and years to come.
Our goal for this Go Fund Me page is for family, friends & acquaintances to donate what they can, so that their remaining time together can be as comfortable and meaningful as possible; allowing Tracey and the girls to spend this time with Drew and put all of their focus into what’s important.
Tracey has always been proud & self-reliant, but this heartbreaking situation is more than anyone should have to bear alone. Anything you can do to help Tracey & her family during this time of heartbreak is greatly appreciated.
If you could also take the time to share this Go Fund Me page, we’d really love for this to reach as many people as possible, as we know Tracey has had such a positive impact on so many peoples’ lives.
