Life can change in an instant. For 29-year-old Sal, a joyful afternoon with friends turned tragic when a backflip ended in a devastating accident, he struck his head on concrete and suffered a traumatic brain injury.

Sal has always been a creative soul. His passion for photography and cooking lit up the lives of everyone around him. He captured the world through his lens and served love through his meals. The photos you see here show Sal doing what he truly loved: bringing joy, beauty, and warmth to others.

His mom, my sister, Tracey, received the call no parent should ever receive. She immediately flew to Massachusetts to be with her son. And now, she waits by his side as Sal recovers. Her partial income cannot sustain the cost of being away from home during what could be months of recovery. Tracey is also paying the expenses for Sals room and board so that he has a home to come back to WHEN he recovers.
