Support Tracey and Rod's Recovery from Disaster
Donation protected
The inimitable Tracey Grimm and her charming husband Rodrigo need our help.
These two wonderful humans moved to Tampa this past summer, and had just started settling into new jobs at their schools when Helene arrived and turned their world upside down. Over the course of a terrifying night their home flooded several feet, destroying much of their furniture and possessions, and totalling both of their vehicles.
Adding to this misfortune, the threat of a second disaster from Milton forced Tracey and Rod to evacuate barely a week later. They're currently sheltering in Georgia, waiting to see what the future holds for their new city and home.
Their insurance will not cover most of their expenses, and the costs for them to recover will be immense and likely will exceed their savings. Money raised here will go to replacing their furniture and household goods, as well as to covering expenses incurred during their evacuation and emergency housing while their flooded home is remediated.
We, a group of Tracey's friends from college, are organizing this effort, and reaching out to Tracey and Rodrigo's broader community to share the news about their situation. We hope you will be moved to show them some support and love, and to make a financial contribution if you can.
Ever mindful of others, Tracey and Rod plan to use your donations to get back on their feet, and then share any remaining funds to other folks in their community that will need help recovering from this double-storm disaster.
