Support Tracer Black's Stroke Recovery Journey

My name is Ryan Oliveira. My wife, Arlee Trembley, and I are organizing this fundraiser for our brother-in-law, Tracer Black, on behalf of his wife, Lindsey Trembley, and their 15-year-old, Noah.

What happened:
On Monday, August 18th, while on a plumbing service call, Tracer suddenly felt ill. He stepped outside, began vomiting, and collapsed. He was rushed to the hospital. We now know, he had a hemorrhagic stroke in his brain stem, which left him unconscious and in the ICU on a ventilator. We were told he would likely remain in a vegetative state—turning our family's world upside down. When he came off the ventilator, he was able to speak faintly and move all of his limbs—a true miracle!

On Monday, August 25th, Tracer was transferred to inpatient rehabilitation hospital, where he’s receiving excellent care and making real progress. His recovery will require continued specialized care, ongoing therapy, medications, medical equipment for home, safety modifications, and extended time away from work.

Why we are asking for your help:
If you know Tracer, you know the last thing he’d ever do is ask for help. In his time of need, we need to come together to take care of the man who always takes care of his family. Any amount is deeply appreciated!

Your support will help cover:
  • Medical expenses not covered by insurance including deductibles, co-pays, out-of-pocket maximums.
  • Rehabilitation (PT/OT), adaptive equipment, and home safety modifications.
  • Transportation and caregiving costs, plus lost income during recovery.
  • A small emergency buffer for unexpected needs.

Every contribution—large or small—goes directly toward Tracer’s recovery and stability. If you can’t donate, sharing this page is also a huge help. We’ll post regular updates so you can see his progress and how the funds are being used. From our whole family: THANK YOU!
