“Plot twist… life said hold my wig and gave me a new storyline.”
—The one and only Toya / Chikeena / Keena
Whichever name you call her, you probably also call her a boss, a badass, and the woman who brings laughter and joy into every room.
On August 29, she heard that life-altering word — and on September 30, it was confirmed: cancer. A rare, aggressive, undifferentiated carcinoma over her left ovary.
The shock, the fear, the unknown, and the emotional rollercoaster have tested her in ways she never imagined. But through every moment, she has been surrounded by love. Her family, her friends, her tribe, and her faith in God have carried her when her body felt weak, when her spirit felt heavy, and when her heart needed reminding that she is here for a greater purpose.
Fighting cancer is not only emotional — it is also unimaginably expensive. Between treatment, time away from work, and rapidly growing medical and living expenses, many of us encouraged her to create this GoFundMe so she can focus on healing rather than financial stress.
If you feel led, please consider donating or sharing this link. EVERY contribution, whether a donation, a share, or a prayer, helps lighten her load so she can keep fighting with her full strength.

Despite it all, she continues to be the light in the darkness. In her own wise and joy-filled words:
“ I’m alive, I’m grateful, and I’m not done. I’m here, still smiling, and still fighting — my eyebrows, and attitude intact!"
