Help Support Toya’s Fight Against Stage 3 Ovarian Cancer

Dear family, friends, & community, it is with a heavy heart that I am reaching out to ask for your support for my mom Toya & little sister Maleah. She is a mother of 4 and a grandmother of 1 baby girl.

What was supposed to be a routine procedure completely changed our lives.

My mom went in for surgery to remove a large cyst—something doctors had reassured us was likely benign. All her bloodwork and tests came back negative for cancer. We were expecting a simple in-and-out procedure and a quick recovery. But just moments into surgery, everything changed.

The doctor stopped mid-procedure and came out to tell me the unthinkable: they had found cancer.

Since that day, our lives have been turned upside down. My mom has been diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer. She has undergone a total hysterectomy and now faces months of chemotherapy. This has been a devastating emotional and physical journey—not just for her, but for our entire family.

As a devoted mother and caretaker to her 8-year-old daughter, she has always been the one to provide, to uplift, and to push forward no matter what. But now, she needs help.

She is currently out of work with no income, and her savings have been exhausted. So, I made this Go fund me in hopes to help her stay afloat with her expenses, including medical bills, rent, utilities, childcare and transportation.

We are awaiting a decision on her Social Security Disability benefits, but in the meantime, we’re in urgent need of support. Any help will go directly toward easing the burden of medical expenses, keeping a roof over their heads, and ensuring her daughter is taken care of during this incredibly hard time.

My mom is a fighter. She’s facing this battle with courage and grace!
