Hello, my name is Toxas and I am a disabled pet owner. I have been trying for many years to acquire social security disability and have had no form of income until this point. I had planned on using this money to help me care for my animals, but still it has not come and my animals grow older. My grandfather supports both of us on retirement and he's been sick and can't afford new vet bills, so this is where I have to turn to the internet for help.
Two of my cats in particular, Dinah and Baby, need medical care.
Dinah is 13 years old, still happy and healthy despite her age, but as of writing this she has an upper respiratory illness suspected to be from tooth disease. I was quoted between 500-700 dollars for the procedure needed to sedate and medicate her, clean her teeth, and potentially pull any teeth too diseased to stay in her mouth. She's lost a front fang already to this, so she's known for having bad teeth.
Baby is 15, also quite healthy and spry despite her age, with no signs of slowing down. However, she's had what I suspect is asthma for many years. Being an asthmatic person myself and knowing what the signs look like in cats from an owner's perspective, I've always thought she's had it but I've never been able to get her treatment. Recently, she's started coughing more, and I think she needs an inhaler. However, for a cat her age to get an inhaler, she needs to have testing done to make sure her kidneys and other functions are healthy enough, and to determine which medications she can tolerate.
I am hoping to gain around 900 dollars, to ensure I can afford all testing, procedures, and medications for both of these pets. We've had them for a long time, and they don't deserve their twilight years to be in pain due to living situations changing from when they were kittens. The white is Dinah, the grey is Baby.
