Support Torrance's Rose Parade Tradition

Tax deductible
Torrance, the eighth largest city in Los Angeles County, competes globally through its myriad of assets: diverse residents, flourishing businesses and safe communities. Every year, a city-wide design contest is held for high school students to provide their original design concepts for the City's annual Rose Parade Float entry. The city is proud to have decorators between the ages of 13 to 90+ working side by side in a marvelous show of community camaraderie where new and old friendships grow.
The Association’s all-volunteer Board of Directors work year-round to keep Torrance represented in the Rose Parade. Regardless of being a new or life-long resident, one of the over 200,000 employees commuting to businesses within the city of Torrance each work day or a welcomed visitor of this exciting community, Torrance has something to offer and share with everyone. Torrance’s unique “hometown” spirit and community pride continue to thrive because of continuing traditions like their participation in the Rose Parade. Community activities instill a sense of pride because they are carried out by thousands of enthusiastic volunteers.

The City of Torrance, in their 65 years of participation in the Rose Parade, is proud of the multiple awards that have been won as follows:
First Prize - 13 times; Second Prize - 5 times; Merit Award - 1 time; Red Rose Award - 5 times; Grand Marshall's Trophy - 1 time ; Governor's Trophy - 2 times; Princess Trophy - 5 times; National Trophy - 1 time; Lathrop K. Leishman Trophy - 3 times; Tournament Volunteer Trophy - 7 times; Theme Trophy - 1 time; Mayor's Trophy - 1 time
