Help Torin and Mom Rebuild After the Eaton Canyon Fire
Dear Friends and Kind-Hearted Strangers,
We hope this message finds you well. I am artist, singer-songwriter, small business advocate, and humanitarian Torin Floyd, and I'm writing this from the bottom of my heart on behalf of me and my mother. We shared a beautiful home in Altadena that was affected by the devastating fires. We both work from home and have been displaced due to the evacuation and the burning destruction of our garage. We’re reaching out in a time of great need and vulnerability. The devastating Eaton Canyon Fire has forced us from our home in Altadena, California, on January 7th, 2025, and our hearts ache for all those who have lost so much in this tragedy.
Though our house was saved by the heroic efforts of the fire department, our garage—along with many cherished childhood memories and irreplaceable items—was completely destroyed. Our home is filled with smoke and unlivable, and we are uncertain how long it will be before we can return once the evacuation is lifted.
In this difficult time, we are seeking a bit of support to help us navigate the challenges ahead. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference as we work to rebuild and recover. The funds will be used for us to maintain our room and board as we do not know when we will be able to return home. As of yet, we are keeping our faith in God and praying for all of those in this time of vulnerability and recovery. We need to secure temporary housing, food, and clothing, but mostly to pay for shelter and basic essential items.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity, support, and prayers.
With all love and gratitude,
Torin
