Hello everyone, I am actually setting this up on behalf of a very close family friend and her son as they try to navigate the chaos that has unfolded in the wake of a random shooting. This news has been devastating for all involved, and we implore you to help this young father in any way you can.

On January 1st, 2026, Anthony Kimball was attending a New Year’s party in Phoenix with his friend. When he was inside the house, he heard someone was outside on the street with a gun, and just as the shooting began, he reached out the door to pull a woman inside, which resulted in Anthony being shot in the face.

Anthony survived and was quickly transported to the hospital where he was triaged and transferred to ICU for care. He already underwent his first surgery while hospitalized to repair his brow bone, orbital socket, cheek, and ear, and Anthony has another surgery scheduled soon to remove his eye, which the medical team was unable to save due to the path the bullet took.

We are very blessed and grateful that he is alive and safe, but the shooting caused irrevocable damage. Anthony is a father of two young children, and he works hard to support them. Anthony is also uninsured, which means medical bills, continued care, and future health issues related to this shooting will be financially staggering.

I cannot even begin to express how terrifying this has been for everyone who loves Anthony, but he has remained positive, while trying to comfort everyone around him with his incredible sense of humor, and he is determined to push forward to support his children.
