Support Tony's Legacy at NY Butcher

Donation protected
In July of 2023, I (Anne) moved to Milton and discovered my first and favorite little gem in downtown Crabapple – New York Butcher Shoppe & Wine Bar. A friend of mine (Melissa), and local resident of downtown Crabapple, organized a gathering to introduce me to new people. I, and 20 new friends, arrived at New York Butcher which immediately became a favorite new friends and family hangout.

Tragically on January 21st, our Butcher Shoppe family changed forever. Tony, co-owner, head butcher, chef, and friend to all, died unexpectedly. He was only 60 years old but he related to anyone of any age. He was the first person to ask how your kid's ballgame was or where you were headed to next. He loved to point out great cuts in the counter and learn about how you planned on cooking that night. He was a good person who genuinely cared.

Tony's lifelong dream was to own his own restaurant. He realized that dream when he opened New York Butcher and it is truly something special. How come? There's no place like it around here. You have the butcher shop, a carefully procured wine selection, locally-sourced specialty grocery, prepared meals, baked goods and a fantastic restaurant and bar. There’s literally something for everyone every day of the week – even gigantic all-natural bully sticks for your favorite pooch. You can buy your wine and take it home OR drink it at your table with no upcharge or cork fee. But, the best part about this little gem is that, when you walk in, customers and staff treat each other like family. Feels like home. And the main reason for that was the first smiling face you usually saw when you walked in, Tony Persichetti.

So many people in the Milton Community are rallying around NY Butcher and wondering how they can help. Here's how I think we can:

I’ve noticed over the last year from attending multiple sporting events that NY Butcher doesn't appear in any local stadiums. I asked Tony why they didn't advertise more and he said it was because they were busy investing in their next location, NY Butcher Shoppe - Johns Creek. So, in an effort to honor Tony and the entire NY Butcher Shoppe family, we've decided to collect funds to sponsor NY Butcher Shoppe ad spots at the Milton Football and Basketball stadiums as well as the Baseball fields. This will cost roughly $5000.

If you treasure this place as much as we do and want to help, please consider a small donation and share this post with the rest of the Milton community.

Thank you.
