Support Tony's Healing after being struck on Electric bike

My name is Renee, I’m the Mother of Tony Eckinger Jr. We don’t know many details but we do know that the evening of 3/22/25, my Son was struck by a vehicle in Lancaster City, while riding his electric bike. We have no clue who called the ambulance or if cops were called. He doesn’t remember anything and we haven’t heard anything from anyone. He just bought his bike that day ($900 gone bc it was found in pieces) & is now unable to work d/t multiple injuries he has as a result of this horrific incident!! He is home now. He is very sore and uncomfortable and will need lots of work done to his mouth! There may be a possible surgery to his right arm. His mouth, tongue & throat are very swollen. Half of his tongue is very black and blue. He has a hard time talking and has copious secretions as he can’t control the left side of his mouth currently d/t the excessive swelling/damage. He has multiple fractures to his face, broken jaw, broken nose, lacerations & stitches to his tongue, lip & cheek, multiple broken teeth. He has a hard time swallowing & can’t eat anything solid currently bc it causes him to choke d/t the excessive swelling & soreness! He has a cast on his right arm d/t a radia & ulnar fracture. This makes things difficult because he is right handed. His left shoulder is very sore but Thankfully not broke! He also had a hematoma at the back of his head/concussion. Thankfully, the bottom half of his body wasn’t affected but he is sore all over! This has also really affected his mental health as he had a traumatic experience, his face/mouth/looks are altered, he’s in a lot of pain/discomfort & he is unable to see/care for his Son without some help. It’s hard for him to do all the things we do & take for granted on a daily basis!

I’m starting this go fund me because he will need help to pay his bills. He is a single Father of my 4 y.o. Grandson Matèo. He has his own apartment to pay for as well as utility bills. They will need groceries & essentials. He is now unable to work until he is able to heal and that will take some time. He does have insurance, but I know it will not cover everything, especially all of the oral work that he will need done. I am hoping that they will not look at everything as cosmetic and they will cover some of it, but I highly doubt it will cover very much. Tony has a beautiful smile and this really affected his teeth! I know that must be hard for him! I can imagine this has been traumatizing for him mentally as well! Apart from changing his looks it also is difficult for him to eat and talk right now so he needs to have the oral surgery group start to work on the things that need to be fixed!
