Support Tonya's Fight Against Rare Cancer

Thanks for joining me on my healing path. I was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma around Mother's Day last year. My amazing doctors immediately said surgery was not an option; you have a rare, aggressive type of cancer. They gathered up a great team of doctors and placed a feeding tube in my stomach. I also had to have a tracheostomy in case the tumor grew and blocked my airway. They told me I would lose my voice, but it was necessary for me to trust them and begin treatment to fight the cancer. My amazing big family pulled together and encouraged me to trust the process. Almost a year later, I've begun putting my faith in God and going through chemotherapy treatments and Keytruda infusion. Recently, some wonderful sitters have stepped in to help me with things I took for granted. They have made a big difference in my progress. I'm so grateful for all the family and friends that have helped. I believe and trust that with all the help and prayers, the cancer will be gone, and with time and patience, I will be able to talk, eat, and walk on my own again. Thank you for joining my team.
