Support Tony’s Medical Recovery

Hello, my name is Charley Stephens. I am the daughter of Tony Stephens. As most of you know, my dad was rushed to the ER on Sunday, August 25th. At the time, we thought he was having a heart attack. Once he had gotten to the hospital, they started asking him questions that he could not answer due to the stroke coming on. The doctors were telling my mom that he was having a stroke and they had found a blood clot on the base of his neck. They also told my mom there was a 99% chance he would not make it because of where the clot was. That is something you never want to hear. My dad made it out of surgery alive! This was great news as they put him on blood thinners to try to break up the clot. He spent the night in the ICU with a ventilator helping him breathe. This was so hard for my family to see. As of Monday morning, August 26th, he is off the ventilator, talking as much as he can, moving as much as he can, and fighting for his body. He is having some vision problems as well as body numbness on his right side. If you know my dad, you know he is a fighter and I can see every single second that he is in there that he is trying to help make himself better and stronger.

We are fearful of upcoming medical bills as my dad will be out of work. I want my dad to get the recovery he needs without worrying about getting the needs to help our family. We could use any help we could get and we are continuously getting so much support and love from everyone around us. We feel all of your prayers and you are helping him and us more than you know.
