I am a 49-year-old Adaptive Athlete currently living in Colorado Springs, CO. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2003. Multiple Sclerosis is a neuromuscular impairment, an unpredictable disease that affects the brain and disrupts the flow of information to the body. It has a wide range of symptoms that can include loss of vision, loss of coordination and balance, fatigue and many others.
I began cycling around 1985 and have been competing since 2019. In October 2021, I found CrossFit Decimate. At the time, I was looking to incorporate other training to improve my cycling capacity. In February 2022, I participated in my first CrossFit Open and placed highly within my respective Adaptive division. CrossFit has given me another platform to not only excel as an athlete but also to raise awareness about Multiple Sclerosis. I am a true testament that you can do anything you set your mind to do.
MS has been a big battle in my life day to day, so therefore,
I am competing in an International CrossFit Competition in Puerto Rico to take place in November 7-10 , 2024. This will be a big stage for any CrossFit athlete and is extremely competitive.
These Competitions unfortunately are a big financial burden for me and I am looking to ease the costs of travel, food, and competition fees with sponsors, fundraising, and products.
