My name is Mark Cesta, and on February 10th, 2026, my family's lives changed forever. My dad, Tony, was having persistent migraines that were not getting any better. He came home from work and was unable to walk up the stairs, so my mom called 911. While at the hospital, the doctors found a tumor in my dad's occipital lobe. A few days later, my dad had a biopsy and the doctors were able to confirm our worst fears. They diagnosed him with a grade 4 glioblastoma, a highly aggressive brain cancer with a prognosis of 14-17 months. This is not what we wanted to hear, but luckily we live only 40 minutes away from Duke University Hospital, one of the best places in the world for this specific type of cancer. They are going to place my dad in a clinical trial called Immunotherapy Advancement with Nivolumab and Relatlimab (GIANT). Luckily, Duke will be footing the bill for all related costs for this treatment. Even so, our family faces immense uncertainty as we navigate these tough times. We do not know where this journey will take us or where we will need to seek further treatment. Funding this campaign will support all medical expenses incurred, potential living expenses, traveling for care, and all unforeseen circumstances that may arise due to my dad's diagnosis. My father is the strongest person that I know and he is not done fighting. This is only the beginning. We are so blessed to have such an extensive network of family and friends who have already begun to rally around us. With all of your help, we can ensure that my dad receives the best medical care possible and that there is no financial stress on our family. Thank you!
