Fundraising for Tony Berry. It is very important to him that his Family and Brandy are taken care of and this will help put his mind at ease.

Quoted from Tony's own post. "This is a difficult post to share, Keep us in your prayers please!

Over the Christmas break, Brandy and I came down with Covid, recovered from that in a couple of weeks, but I had a nagging cough that would not go away. A week later I made appointment thinking I had bronchitis, chest x-ray showed a cloudy mass in the right lung covering (15cm = 5.9 inches) in the upper lobe. Oncologist diagnoses was stage 3 lung cancer and wanted to start chemo and radiation right away, I wish I had taken more time to research alternative options, my prognosis may be much different, if you have or become diagnosed with cancer, do the research before committing to being poisoned because there are less lethal treatment options if you have time for them to work and stay ahead of the disease growth. I unfortunately caved into the traditional treatment and it was a waste of precious time in the end. My treatment protocol was 30 rounds of radiation 5-days a week for 6 weeks and 7 rounds of chemo over 7 weeks, during that time I never had any of the nasty side affects usually associated chemo which gave me some false hope of recovery, I didn't lose my hair or appetite and maintained a steady weight. Every day I managed to get up, be productive at work then go to treatment M-F for 6-7 weeks with minimal down time, again giving me false hope because I felt great considering. My treatment ended May 14th, a 3-4 weeks later I started declining and having some back pain fatigue and discomfort, scan results showed the disease had spread to my back and fractured my L4 vertebrae so they suggested 2 chemo treatments at a very high dose and immunotherapy at the same time, it was a terrible decision that I should have declined and moved on to non traditional treatment and possibly had time to at least stay ahead of the aggressive disease growth. That last dose was 7 hours of infusion, it finally made me lose my hair and caused a lot of fluid to build up inside my chest, I have made the decision to stop the chemo and take my chances with another method, what have I got to lose. I have also decided to be placed on hospice care so I don't have to leave home for any medical needs, oncologists current estimate of time left is 3-4 weeks or less.

I am at peace with my life, it's in Gods hands now. Brandy and I were recently baptized and gave our lives to Jesus, I am so grateful for our Lincoln Seven Day Adventist church family for the kindness and acceptance into their congregation, it has been an amazing experience building friendships and worshiping with these fine folks.
No matter what happens I am mentally prepared for the last leg of this journey, I pray to be accepted into heaven and someday see the ones I am leaving behind or already passed."
