Hi everyone, I’m reaching out on behalf of my family during one of the hardest times we’ve ever faced. My aunt, Toni, is currently in the ICU at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs, CO. She has been fighting for her life since Wednesday , March 11th due to severe complications of pneumonia, which has led to liver failure and kidney failure. She has been fighting hard to stay with us.

Toni is someone who means so much to so many people. She has always been so full of life and always puts others before herself. She is a kind, loving mother and a hard working woman. Becoming the only female sous chef at The Roost in Durango, Colorado, where she and her little family call home. Her hobbies include listening to music, especially 90’s hip-hop, fishing, camping, spending time with her family, and going back home to the reservation in Mexican Springs, New Mexico. That’s where she always said her heart always felt most at peace.

Right now, she is on a ventilator and fighting incredibly hard to keep her body going. We are holding onto hope and staying by her side every step of the way. This has been especially difficult for her daughter and her husband of 19 years, who are doing everything they can to be there for her while also trying to manage everyday responsibilities. Between transportation to and from the hospital, time away from work, daily expenses, meals, and anything else they may need during this time.

We’re asking for any support you can give during this time. Donations will go toward helping her family stay close to her, cover medical expenses, and relieve some of the financial stress so her family can focus on what truly matters—being there for Toni.
