Support Toni's Battle Against Brain Cancer

Hi, I am called Dr. Jay as my name is not easy to pronounce. My nurse, Toni Douglas, has worked with me for 14 years. She is brilliant, caring and compassionate and just about every patient in my practice loves her for everything she does for them. She is universally beloved and a very, very important contributor to healthcare in the community she lives and works in. She has 2 children, one of whom is following her footsteps to be a nurse. Her daughter Ashley is currently in nursing school at the University of Southern Mississippi and has a straight A in all her tests!

Toni was diagnosed with brain cancer. She is scheduled to have brain surgery on Tuesday, the 22nd of October. She chose to be treated at MD Anderson hospital in Houston, Texas. Her insurance will cover some of the medical costs but she will have to pay for the rest. She also has to drive back and forth to Houston and stay at hotels with the person who drives her there. We all know how expensive insurance co-pays, deductibles, travel and hotel costs can get.

I am reaching out to all of you out there that has either been in this situation or had family or friends who have been. Please find it in your hearts to support the fight against a devastating cancer for this girl who has sacrificed most of her life caring for people and going above and beyond her job description.
