Support Toni Rizzo's Post-Car Accident Recovery

We are fundraising for one of our dearest friends, Toni Rizzo, who got hit by a car while in the right of way biking in Davis and has suffered from nerve damage and chronic pain ever since.

It has been over 20 weeks, and the driver's insurance only gave her $500 for what is now looking like a long-term condition that will need consistent care. Immediately following the accident, she was wearing a boot and confined to her bed, unable to walk for weeks. She now can only walk with the assistance of a cane due to muscular atrophy and nerve damage.

Toni lost her insurance the week before the accident, compounding the financial burden that was already weighing on her and her partner. They have shut down their small business for 2 out of the last 4 months while still having to pay rent. She has had to go to regular PT sessions, which she has to pay for out of pocket. Now that she has tentatively returned to work, her day-to-day duties are very difficult, and the nerve damage keeps her from being able to drive or bike. The person that hit her will not pay for any expenses.
