Support Toni and Jordan's Housing Crisis

Hi everyone,
I never imagined I’d be in this position, but today, I’m reaching out for help because my daughter, Jordan, and I have nowhere to go.
I’ve been searching for stable housing for years, knowing our family home was falling apart. This house has been a place of love and memories, but after 110 years, time and neglect have taken their toll. Holes in the roof have caused severe water damage, mold, and structural issues, making it unsafe to live in. My sister, who owns the home, has no choice but to sell it, leaving us displaced.
I had been saving for years to move, but in 2023, I suffered a devastating injury—a broken ankle—that drained every last dollar of my savings. On top of that, as a disabled single mother with limited income, the search for affordable housing has been a battle. We’re now on a waiting list for an accessible unit in the county, but the process takes up to six months, and no emergency housing options are available.
About Jordan & Why We Need Your Help
Jordan is on the autism spectrum. Although she is high-functioning, she struggles with severe social anxiety, ADD, and OCD and lacks some essential executive functioning skills, making it difficult for her to work. She has already applied for disability, but as many know, that process can take months or even years. She will continue to live with me as she works on life skills.
Without stable housing, the stress and uncertainty are taking a toll on both of us. Emergency shelters aren’t a viable option—they're only available overnight, there may not be space for us in the same place, and they don’t offer the security and stability Jordan needs to feel safe and function. With my heart condition, I also can’t rely on living in unstable conditions or eating fast food daily.
What We Need & How You Can Help
We are raising $7,000 to cover temporary housing and essential living expenses until we secure permanent housing. This will allow us to rent a furnished apartment and stay together in a safe, stable environment while we wait for permanent housing.
I know times are tough for everyone, and asking for help is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. But we are out of options, and I refuse to let my daughter and I end up on the streets.
Anything you can give—no matter how small—will help us get one step closer to having a roof over our heads. If you can't donate, please share our story to help us reach those who may be able to help.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading, sharing, and anything you can do to help us through this.
With love and gratitude,
Toni & Jordan
