In November of 2023, Tom suffered a series of tragic events. On a trip to Colombia with friends, Tom unexpectedly went into cardiac arrest, which led to Tom not having oxygen for 10 minutes and suffering severe brain injury and Coma.

On top of the Hypoxic Brain Injury, Tom suffered aspiration pneumonia, Acute Renal Failure leading to months of

dialysis, MRSA and numerous other hard to treat infections, bed sores, surgeries,

feeding tubes, tracheostomy, and many, many, long, horrible months ahead.

Tom’s mom, Connie, flew to Colombia and stayed by Toms side for a month, uncertain

of each day ahead. Finally, Tom was able to fly from Colombia to the United States in an Air Ambulance.

Fast forward to now, it's been a long, hard 9 months. Tom has endured so much but

stayed strong. Tom is still in critical condition, and the medical bills are piling up. We are hopeful Tom will make an OK recovery one day, but we are asking friends and family to help with further assistance in the meantime.

As of now, Tom has 2 full time care givers and his mom flies from Colorado to California bi-weekly to help take care of him.

We are so lucky to still have our Tom with us today-and every day with him is a blessing. His survival is a miracle from God.
