Long-term Care and Support for Tom

Dear Friends and Family,

In the past few months, my dad's health has taken a significant turn due to his glioblastoma diagnosis. Following his latest MRI and discussions with his doctors, he has been admitted to hospice care.

His current condition demands 24/7 care, and while hospice provides essential support, it falls short of meeting all his caregiving needs. Unfortunately, my dad lacks long-term healthcare insurance coverage due to his pre-existing health conditions.

I'm reaching out through this GoFundMe to seek financial support for his long-term care. The goal is to alleviate the stress and burden on my mom, who has become his primary caregiver.

This summer, my parents faced a financial setback when they couldn't rent out their home in Wellfleet, coupled with my mom having to step away from her teaching job until further notice. The loss of income has added to the challenges they are already facing.

My mom, who is already emotionally and physically drained, has taken on the role of a full-time caregiver while dealing with the grief of witnessing the love of her life decline. She is incredibly humble and selfless, finding it difficult to ask for help. Hence, I'm reaching out on her behalf.

We want to express our gratitude for the love, thoughts, prayers, and positive energy you've sent my dad during this challenging chapter.

Despite his current state, he continues to radiate positivity and bring LOTS of laughter into our lives.
