My name is Michelle Phelps. This is breaking my heart having to do this. My husband, Tom, is a proud US Navy veteran. He proudly worked on the engines of the Navy ships until a horrible accident where he crushed his back and was then considered 100% disabled. Tom (even with being disabled) has done everything in his power to provide for his family. In the past, he has beaten cancer twice. A year ago, he was diagnosed with leukemia, and just a few weeks ago, he was diagnosed with stage 4 lung and bone cancer. They told him that his life expectancy was 2 years with treatment. His entire life, he has dreamed of traveling. There are a few specific places he would like to visit. He wants to show our 10-year-old son all of these places and make as many memories with him as he can. I am now trying to make that happen for him before he is no longer able to travel. With your help, I believe we can make this veteran, father, and husband's dreams come true!
