Support Tommy's Road to Recovery

I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out on behalf of my brother Tommy who is currently facing a long, challenging health journey.

On May 3rd, Tommy was suddenly struck with a high fever and excruciating abdominal pain. Concerned for his well-being, he sought medical attention at South Shore Hospital. After undergoing a scan, doctors discovered an infection in his intestines, as well as a concerning mass. Tommy was admitted to the hospital and put on a course of antibiotics. He was advised to seek further consultation regarding the mass.

Throughout the week, Tommy's condition did not improve, and on Friday, his fever returned. He immediately returned to South Shore Hospital, where another scan revealed a severe abscess that required emergency surgery. As a result, Tommy had to undergo the removal of a portion of his intestines and his appendix. The wound was left open for three days and after that he went back to surgery and they were able to reattach the intestines. The road to recovery from this major surgery will be lengthy, and he will be in the hospital for another week and not be able to return to work for at least a few months. He also will be in a lot of pain and need a lot of care and time to heal.
