My name is Tommy (they/she), but you may also know me as Lo, or LO•TI•ON. I'm an occasional drag queen, aspiring DJ, creator of my own candle company, and currently residing in Austin, TX. I've started my transition about 9 months ago and it has been such a positive journey so far, and now I’m reaching out to my community as I continue my transition journey. I’m raising funds to help cover the costs of gender affirming care, specifically laser hair removal and hormone replacement therapy. These are essential steps for me to feel more comfortable and authentic in my own skin, but the financial burden can be overwhelming at times.

Since starting HRT last May, I’ve experienced an incredibly positive shift in my psychological well-being. I finally feel more like myself, and every day brings me closer to living as the person I truly am. However, one of the biggest challenges is dealing with facial hair. Shaving every day is not only time-consuming, but it also brings a lot of dysphoria. For many folks in transition, facial and body hair can be a constant reminder of the journey ahead. Laser hair removal would be a powerful way for me to transform my appearance and celebrate the real me.
