On March 28th, Tommy went in for a routine colonoscopy. Needless to say, the news he received was unexpected and profoundly overwhelming.

Stage 4 metastatic colon cancer...the most advanced stage and generally not considered curable.

A golf-ball-sized tumor was found on his colon. A later CT scan would show that the cancer had metastasized to his liver. Multiple masses were found on both sides of his liver. A liver transplant after chemo will be his best option.

As many of you know, Tommy is an incredible husband and best friend to his wife Mel. They have been partners in life for 30 years. He is also a devoted father to his son Jordan, who is currently away at flight school, and his daughter Mia, who just made him a first-time "G" pa to baby Ensley on May 4th. Sadly, that wasn't his only first that week...he had his first chemo treatment.

Tommy has continued to work through all of this. If he goes on disability, it will be short-term and only get 60% of his pay. With mounting medical bills, Mel is currently working two jobs. She is not able to be home with him to care for him when he needs it the most.

This is where you come in. If you are able to contribute, please do, and please pray above all else. Tommy is in for the fight of his life and he needs our support. Our loved ones shouldn't have to worry whether or not they can "afford" to stay alive. Thank you!!
