Dear, Family and Friends,

Many of you know it is my dream to work in law enforcement, and I’ve been doing what I can to pursue that dream now.

I’m proud to say that last month I placed first in the state in the SkillsUSA Criminal Justice competition at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. This means I’ll be advancing to Nationals which is going to be held in Atlanta, Georgia. Unfortunately that means it is going to be a costly trip, as I am responsible for the majority of the expenses that will not be covered by SkillsUSA.

With that being said: I am requesting your financial support to attend the 2025 SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference (NLSC) on June 23-27 in Atlanta, Georgia. SkillsUSA is the #1 workforce development

organization for students that empowers more than 413,000 members nationwide, including the forty students in our chapter, to become skilled professionals, career-ready leaders and responsible community members.

Because I placed first in the Criminal Justice competition at Indiana’s State Leadership and Skills Competition last month, I advance to the National Competition in June to compete against other state champions throughout

the nation. Attending this conference will allow me an opportunity to demonstrate Criminal Justice skills, master new knowledge and network with industry. The conference includes student competitions, two general sessions with empowering content, and the opportunity to connect with over 200 exhibitors that display cutting-edge

trends across all career clusters.

I am seeking your support for the SkillsUSA conference registration fee and travel expenses (including hotel accommodations and meals) for myself. The Mt. Vernon High School Criminal Justice class, SkillsUSA program is assisting me with partial funding; however, the full amount of registration and travel is my responsibility.
