On behalf of the family, friends, coworkers, and community members who know and love Tom Wolf, we are asking for support during an incredibly difficult time following the devastating explosion and fire at Robbins Lumber in Searsmont, Maine.
Tom Wolf is a dedicated firefighter and first responder with Searsmont Fire & Rescue, as well as a hardworking employee at the mill. On the day of the explosion, Tom was seriously injured during the tragic incident that shook not only Searsmont, but surrounding communities as well.
We also want to recognize and thank the many first responders from neighboring towns and departments who rushed to the scene without hesitation, putting themselves in harm’s way to help protect lives and support rescue efforts during this devastating emergency. Their courage, teamwork, and commitment to the community will never be forgotten.
I am one of Tom’s closest friends and live in the same household as Tom and his family. I created this fundraiser on their behalf to help support them during Tom’s recovery and the difficult months ahead.
Tom has always been someone willing to step up and help others — whether serving his town as a firefighter, responding to emergencies, or working hard every day at the mill to support his family. Now, he and his family need our help.
Tom faces a long and difficult road to recovery. During this time, his wife will be taking significant time away from work to remain by his side, help care for him, and support him through rehabilitation and recovery. The emotional, physical, and financial strain on their family will be tremendous as they navigate lost income, travel, daily household expenses, medical-related costs, and the many unexpected challenges that come with a tragedy like this.
All funds raised through this GoFundMe will be transferred directly to Tom’s wife to help support their family during his recovery. The donations will be used for unforeseen expenses, household bills, travel costs, lost income, medical and recovery-related needs, and any other financial burdens that may arise as they focus on Tom’s healing and rehabilitation.
We are asking the community, friends, family, and anyone able to help to please consider donating. Every contribution, no matter the amount, will go directly toward helping ease the burden on Tom and his family so they can focus fully on healing, recovery, and supporting one another through the difficult months ahead.
Please continue to keep Tom, his family, his coworkers, and all those affected by this tragedy — including the brave first responders from Searsmont and surrounding communities — in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you for your kindness, support, generosity, and continued prayers during this difficult time.
