Support Tom Slattery's Battle Against Cancer

Dear friends and family,
We are reaching out to you today on behalf of our friend, brother, and family member, Tom Slattery. On July 27th, Tom was diagnosed with cancer. Tom has been diagnosed with a lymph node mass on the right side of his neck as well as cancer of the tonsils. Unfortunately, surgery is not an option as the cancer has spread to his neck tissue, so he will begin chemotherapy and radiation treatments in the coming weeks. Tom is no stranger to this horrible disease, which has previously taken his mother and devastated his family.
If that wasn't enough, in May, Tom faced the difficult challenge of losing his job, a blow that has left him struggling to make ends meet and no short or long term disability. Though he has been searching for new employment, his medical team now advises that he will be unable to work for the next 3 to 4 months.
Tom’s sales career has been more than just a job; it has provided him with countless valued connections and friendships. His sharp memory has allowed him to maintain connections with friends and acquaintances from his school days, community, neighborhood, and sports teams.
Tom's gregarious nature, sharp sarcastic wit, and generous attitude have always made him a welcome addition to any party, an ideal dinner companion, and a supportive friend who never shies away from sharing his good fortune or picking up a tab. Papa Tom is quite the character who lights up the room with his "woo," and his loyalty and kindness have touched so many lives.
Now, it’s our turn to support Tom in his time of need. With the loss of his job, mounting and anticipated medical bills, and the inability to work for the next few months, Tom is facing an overwhelming financial burden. Our goal is to raise $50,000 to help cover his medical expenses, daily living costs, and any other needs that may arise during his treatment and recovery.
Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a significant difference in Tom's life. We appreciate all the support, love, and prayers during this challenging time.
Thank you for being there for Tom when he needs us the most.
