Support Tom Romeo's Surgery

For those of you who know my Uncle Tom Romeo, you are probably already thinking of his big heart, great sense of humor, his love for family, and picturing him in his WVU hat watching his grandkids play ball! Well, you also may be aware that he has had some health issues in the past few years.
In 2015 he was diagnosed with bladder cancer, which was localized, but they found another primary cancer in his abdomen called Liposarcoma. He underwent surgery to remove the bladder cancer and it has remained gone. He hasn’t been so lucky with the Liposarcoma. Although it was removed at the same time, Liposarcoma is a very rare cancer that is not able to be treated with chemotherapy as it does not respond, and it will keep coming back and will need to be removed when it starts affecting other vital organs - which it has started to do.
The surgeons at their hospital will not operate as it will be a very tedious surgery and will need specialized surgical oncologists who are trained to remove such difficult cancers.
Sloan Kettering in NYC has agreed to do the surgery and feel they can be successful in giving him some quality years of life, but it needs to be done ASAP. As Aunt Mary Kay has her own health struggles, it is imperative that Kathy is with them in NYC to care for her parents. The three of them will need to be in NYC 3 days before surgery for pre-op clearing, and then 3-4 weeks post-surgery in case there are any complications. Trying to stay in NYC for 4 weeks is going to be a tremendous expense for the family.
