DECEMBER 2021 UPDATE
We'd like to share an update on Tommy's health and ask for all prayer warriors to lift up their hearts and prayers as Tommy faces yet another round of intense therapy.
Since the last update, Tommy had his finger amputated and things seemed to look like they were getting better. He gained a little weight and started to get out a little more. Uncle Pat even got him out to fish!
Unfortunately, it's with heavy hearts that we share that he's taken a really bad turn. He has gone through rounds of radiation to attack a tumor that has grown behind his lung and near his heart and the cancer has spread along his spine and other parts of his body. He is not walking and as you can imagine, his spirits are low. The surgery to remove the tumor is extremely complicated due to its proximity to the heart.
Tommy is a fighter and will keep fighting alongside his family and those closest to him.
His medical and life expenses continue to grow so if it is in your heart and means, please consider supporting Tom through this page.
But, more importantly, let's continue to pray as a community of people who share in common our love of Tom. We believe in the power of prayer and he feels it. We believe that he wouldn't have even made it this far without your outpouring of support, love and prayers.

We cannot thank you enough for your generosity and support as Tom battles cancer.
We appreciate all of your calls and messages and questions about updates.
At this point, he is still very much fighting and it has not been easy. He has undergone 5 Cyberknife procedures for the tumors in his brain which seem to be shrinking (which is great news and a real miracle!) and under control for now.
He has now completed 10 rounds of radiation and 4 chemotherapy treatments. He will soon see a hand surgeon to address the swollen finger which seems to have had a big role in his sickness.
Please continue to send up prayers and thoughts as he still has a long road ahead and know that your generosity and support is helping to pay medical bills and is so very much appreciated.

In late February, father, uncle, nephew, brother, son, coach and friend to many, Thomas Riley went into see the doctor with a swollen finger. What happened next was shocking, unimaginable and turned his entire life upside down.
Tom, at age 45, was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer that had already aggressively spread through his entire body. And worse, a very large mass was found in his brain that forced him into emergency surgery. He made it through but was noticeably disoriented in the days to come.
He was home for a short while, preparing for the next steps of immunotherapy and chemotherapy when things took a turn for the worse. He had to undergo a second emergency brain surgery to remove another lesion from his cerebellum in his brain, a very dangerous surgery.
The goal was to get him home so he could be with his family and not alone in a hospital due to Covid restrictions. He got home!
Many people have generously helped with meal deliveries over the past month, texts, calls and questions about how to help during this tremendously difficult time. After the initial shock wore off, and as Tom’s family looks at the long road ahead, the family decided to ignite a Go Fund Me Page due to need and in response to so many people who have reached out and have asked how to help.
For those of you who know Tommy, you know that he is a dedicated father and fiercely loyal. He loves his family and has given so much to different communities through coaching and mentoring. He loves to laugh. He doesn't like to be in the spotlight but when he's around, you feel his presence.
He feels your love and prayers. We all hope and pray for better days ahead but it will be a challenge getting there.
A trust has been set up through this Go Fund Me page by his aunt and uncle, Bernardsville residents Cindy and Pat Riley. They would like to send a heartfelt thank you to all of those who have already reached out and to everyone going forward.
