Support Tom O'Connor: A Veteran in Need

The neighbors of beloved Tom O'Connor are trying to raise money for him to live on for a little while. Tom is a military veteran who is 80 years of age, lives alone with his dog and as of today, has been evicted from his home for being unable to pay his taxes. Tom always put everyone before himself, helping everyone on the block, whether it be dog sitting while we went on vacation, helping to fix various things, picking up kids from school and being our "neighborhood watch." He didn't tell anyone that this was coming (probably because he didn't want anyone worrying about him) so this caught us all off guard this morning. He has no family nearby to stay with and was granted a week to live in a hotel. After that, he's on his own. All of his belongings were hauled away and put into a storage unit. We're trying to do as much as we can for him to try and bring him some peace and security. If anybody is able to donate anything at all, it would be greatly appreciated.
