Support Tom McCraw's Fight Against Lung Cancer
Donation protected
Hello friends and family. We are asking for donations to help with our bills and medication, as Tom McCraw was diagnosed with lung cancer. He is a high stage 3 and we have been in the hospital 2x now. The week of the 4th of July, we were in the ICU for 4 days, then a regular room for less than 24 hours, and finally released on July 4th. Tom had blood clots all over his lungs and in his legs. The clots are caused by cancer making blood thick. Tom will have radiation for 60 days and chemo every 21 days. This has already taken a large toll on both of us. Unfortunately, this is only the beginning, but we will fight this and kick its ass!!! We need as many prayers as we can get. The oncologist thinks we only have a 40% chance of beating this, so let's prove her wrong!!!! Y'all keep Tom in your prayers.
Tom decided to go on leave from work and focus on the fight. (With taking chemo, if he is around someone sick, he can get worse.) Throughout this fight, Tom has had severe sciatica causing him not to be able to walk or walk very short distances. We finally got answers. He has 3 bulging discs. Sciatica was a result of the bulging discs. Time has released some pain from the sciatica. Yet, we are searching for a physical therapist, someone that takes his insurance. Please bring on the recommendations. He isn't allowed to see a chiropractor. I don't know, but just listening to the doctor.
On treatment number 9 of Tom's radiation, we got to see the doctor. Y'all ready for this?!?!?! Let's just say God is good!!! Keep those prayers coming!!!
Unfortunately, when we get good news, there is the devil knocking on the door pulling Tom's hair out. Yep, his hair decided to start falling out. This is after one 3-day treatment that took place on July 1st. So, 17 days later, his hair is dramatically falling out. After seeing physical results, we both feel mentally drained and the emotions are high.
This, my friends, is our update, and the bills will start adding up with Tom being out of work. Heck, they already have. Some just auto-drafting. As appointments get stacked, I'm missing work as well. Right now, we are okay, but as things keep happening, we may need a lending hand. Every $1 adds up, and you can reach out to me for other ways we have been using to navigate through this. All we ask is prayers, but a lending hand is very kind.
Thank you very, very much to everyone helping us through this. Some people have gone as far as purchasing us essentials (toilet paper, tissues). This helps us focus on the journey and the bills. Y'all have a good day and don't forget to share a smile with someone. Spread good vibes.
For those of you wanting to help but not able, please pray. If you have 2 mins out of your day, just pray and share this post.
