This is the Kirchner family, and we are fundraising for Tom Kirchner. Tom is an Ellsworth, WI native and has lived and worked in the area all his life. Tom was diagnosed with secondary progressive multiple sclerosis in 2005. For the past three years, it has started to progress at a faster rate and Tom is unable to work. There is a treatment at HSCT-Clinica Ruiz in Mexico, which is headed by a Mayo clinic doctor specializing in stopping the progression of the disease, and for some, they see improvement. This treatment has an 80% success rate. Tom has been chosen as a good candidate for the treatment, and is scheduled for July 28, 2024. This is a 30 day treatment. Total out of pocket costs are near $60,000. There is a benefit scheduled June 29th for those who want to attend at the Ellsworth Rod and Gun Club from 11am-7pm. Chicken dinner will be served. There will be music, silent auction, and more! However, if you wish to make a monetary donation, it is much appreciated. This is meant to ease his burden of financial responsibility.
