Support Tom Engel and Family

Since the cursed Saturday 7th of October, life changed forever for Tom Engel from Kibbutz Nir Oz, when his family was kidnapped to Gaza.‏ When the sirens started in the south of Israel, Tom was at his military base camp for Shabbat. Whilst he was in a military operation in Huwara he heard about the bombing from Gaza to Israel - he was scared for the life of his family that was hiding in the shelter at their house in Nir Oz.

‏His father Ronen (55), his mom Karina (54), and his sisters Mika (18) and Yuval (11). ‏After the terrorists invaded their Kibbutz he lost all connection with his family, and has not heard from them ever since.

Kibbutz Nir Oz has suffered a great loss and the dimensions of the disaster are staggering. The terrorists infiltrated Tom’s house. His whole family was announced missing, and to this day - we still don’t have any information regarding what happened to them. Tom was left with nothing and needs to start from scratch. His family gone in the blink of an eye and entire home lost.‏

In the current situation, we want to guarantee that Tom will have everything he needs to get past this challenging time, cope with the unbearable uncertainty, and help him financially so he can live his life independently and try somehow to recover from this tragedy. He is currently staying with his Uncle's family, Ronen's brother, in an apartment that was donated to him in the wake of this hard time. ‏

Any help will be appreciated and will be going directly to cover costs for Tom such as clothes, apartment appliances, food, and the necessities to survive during this hard time as neither he nor the rest of his family can work right now.

מאז יום שבת המקולל ה-7 באוקטובר החיים של טום מקיבוץ ניר עוז השתנו לנצח לאחר שמשפחתו נחטפה לעזה

כשהתחילו אזעקות בדרום טום אנגל סגר שבת בבסיס. בעודו בפעילות מבצעית בחווארה שמע על המטחים ודאג לבני משפחתו שהסתגרו בממד בביתם בניר עוז -

אבא רונן (55) אמא קרינה (54) והאחיות מיקה (18) ויובל (11).

לאחר שחדרו המחבלים לקיבוץ, נותק איתם הקשר, ומאז טום לא שמע ממשפחתו.

קיבוץ ניר עוז ספג אבידות קשות וממדי האסון מטלטל. מחבלים חדרו ופשטו גם על ביתו של טום. המשפחה כולה נעדרת, ועד לרגע זה אין לנו כל מידע על מקום הימצאם או על מה קרה להם. וטום שלנו נותר בלי דבר.

במצב הנוכחי אנחנו רוצים להבטיח שלטום יהיה את כל מה שהוא צריך כדי לעבור את התקופה המטלטלת הזו, את ההתמודדות עם אי הוודאות, ולתמוך בו כלכלית כדי שיוכל לנהל את חייו באופן עצמאי ולנסות איכשהו, להשתקם כלכלית ונפשית.
