Support Togo the Turtle’s New Classroom Habitat
Donation protected
I am SO excited to be able to get Togo a new habitat. Togo is an African Side-Neck Turtle and my class pet. She adds a calm presence to my 2nd grade classroom. My students and I both love her very much! She has been living in a tank that is far too small for a turtle her size. A new 40-gallon tank was generously donated, and I need your help with the rest of the supplies.
Togo is not my personal pet. She is from the Stark County Educational Center, but my classroom has been her home for the past 3 years. She has come home with me over those summers. So even though she’s not technically “mine,” she feels like family. If she were to return to the center, her new habitat would follow her. She deserves to live out her days with all this extra space. The center has many animals to take care of and does the best they can on their budget. I have been hoping for a donation like this for a long time!
Her old habitat’s equipment is covered in algae, which we do not want to transfer to the new tank. Any donations would go towards a new filter, substrate, hide-outs, etc. Any leftover donations will go towards her food.
Thank you so much for your help in making this long-awaited dream a reality!
