Tofu is truly the sweetest cat, gentle, affectionate, and deeply loved by the Cesarotti family. A few months ago, Izzy noticed a small lump on Tofu’s back left paw and immediately brought her to the vet. After numerous appointments, tests, and a surgery to remove the mass, it was diagnosed as fibrosarcoma, a locally aggressive cancer.

 Despite the first surgery, the tumor has already grown back. Because of its location on her paw, the oncologist explained that the only way to save Tofu’s life is to completely amputate her back left leg. While this is scary, cats adapt incredibly well to three legs and with this surgery, Tofu could live comfortably and pain-free for years.

 The challenge is the cost. The total estimate for the amputation, hospitalization, and oncology care is nearly $10,000, far more than Izzy can manage alone. We are creating this fundraiser to help ease the financial burden and give Tofu the life-saving treatment she needs.
