Update: With Heavy Hearts

With completely broken hearts, we share that Todd passed away on February 12, 2026. We are still in shock at how quickly everything happened. We were only beginning to come to terms with his cancer, and now he is gone.

Judy is still in the hospital recovering from her fall, and Jalynn has lost her father far too soon. Todd was her only parent and her greatest supporter. This family is facing unimaginable grief, along with overwhelming financial hardship.

This fundraiser now continues to help cover funeral expenses, medical bills, recovery costs, and basic living needs for Judy and Jalynn as they try to rebuild their lives after this devastating loss. We are deeply grateful for every prayer, share, and donation.

Our dear friend Todd lived in Kerrville, Texas and was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer. In just a few short weeks, his entire life changed — from diagnosis to hospitalization at Methodist Hospital Specialty and Transplant in San Antonio.

Todd was the main income provider for his household, but because of his illness, he was no longer able to work or support his family. His medical insurance had only just become active in January 2026, and the family was left unsure how much of his care would be covered.

He became very weak, lost a dangerous amount of weight, and required a feeding tube. Throughout this time, his daughter Jalynn and his mother Judy did everything they could to be by his side, traveling long distances each day because they could not afford lodging near the hospital.

Despite everyone’s prayers and efforts, Todd’s illness progressed rapidly, and he passed away far too soon.

Now, this family is left grieving while facing medical bills, funeral expenses, lost income, and the cost of daily living. Judy must continue her own recovery, and Jalynn must learn how to move forward without her father.

We are raising funds to help cover:
