Support Todd's Vet Care Journey

Hello everyone,

My name is Todd and I was diagnosed with pancreatitis on Monday, April 7th. I'm a 14-year-old lovable boy and my mom's favorite fur child. (Don't tell the cats.) While my diagnosis is early, I'm struggling in my old age. I've been to the vet 3 times this week with two more vet appointments to follow. My mom doesn't have a lot of money, so any help is appreciated to help get us by. Please help me continue to be around for my mom. She has been ugly crying a lot this week. ♡ (My mom said she will post pictures of the medical bills so you guys can see exactly where the money is going.)

Update as of 4/10: I'm still not doing great but I'm fighting. Mom said my bloodwork got better but I still have an infection going on. I might see a specialist tomorrow and may need an ultrasound. Things are rough but I'm trying.

Update as of 4/11: This week has been long and rough. Ultimately, I want to let you know that Todd should be okay. We luckily are under the care of a different vet clinic out of state, and as of this morning got to come home to rest. Todd is done with seeing the doctors and is being a grouchy old man. (Less grouchy now that he's sleeping in his bed. ) He does have pancreatitis but some of his issues were due to certain medications and partially due to a lot of pain.

Update 4/12: Were still in some pain but mom said we are going to try to get some more acupuncture and laser therapy today to help. Mom also bought me some Dasuquin, Cosequin, and fortiflora with all the help you guys have been sending me.

I'm still fighting and sending you all my love.

4/13 update: Hello everyone, Todd is seeming a little better today. We gave kisses and snuggled a little but he's still in some pain. He's being as stubborn as ever on pills but he's still a love. I would like to say what the additional money is going to outside of just vet bills. The extra expenses are to help pay for his g/i low fat prescription food and to keep him on dasuquin, cosequin, and fortiflora. Thanks to a dear friend we are looking into something called a assisi loop for pain management as well. Anything to help him feel better. I'm also looking into getting him monthly treatments of acupuncture and laser therapy. Any additional help will be going directly to that. Thank you for continued support for my old boy! ♡

4/15 update: So mom said I'm being a turd. I had a rough night last night and lately I'm not really interested in food. Especially that low fat g/I food. Diets are the worst. I had to go back to the vets for some appetite stimulate which I really really dislike. It made me all sorts of woozy. So this morning I'm still not totally interested but mom said the meds take time. (But! I do love this cosequin and dasuquin she got me, they are the best treats in the morning. ) Thank you for your continued support. ♡

4/16 update: I ate today! Mom had to go get me fancy food because I'm deciding that as an old man I should eat the best food. We're still trying to find food low fat dog food that won't hurt my stomach. I was also able to go up the stairs by myself today. Mom scolded me lovingly for doing so because she likes to carry me up and down the now. Please continue to help my mom, she's a bit stressed.

4/22 update: Sadly we back slid yesterday afternoon. Todd started vomiting but everything else seemed better? At one point he was energetic and running around and then we just had it rough with the vomiting. Back to the vet for another cerenia injection and some meds. Todd is still trying but is very off today. Hopefully he pulls through. Thank you to all of you, I wouldn't have been able to afford his medical bills without you. ♡

4/28: I'm sorry everyone, I should have updated this sooner. Todd is doing a bit better after our back slide. Tonight is the first night off Cerenia again so we are going to see how it goes. He's eating better and today jumped up for two seconds on his hind legs to steal some pets. He has life in his eyes still and is back to trying to guilt trip people for cheese tax. Please know all extra funds are going to his continued vet care and dog food, anything really that he needs. He sends more pup snuggles to all of you!

I will leave his go fund me up and have updated it with all our bills this past week. The help is still greatly appreciated, and Todd sends all his kisses/hugs to everyone who has taken the time to send him love/well wishes/help. (I do as well of course. )
