Hi everyone,
I never imagined I would be writing something like this, but life can truly change in an instant.
Recently, Todd suffered a heart attack and was initially sent home, only to end up back in the hospital shortly after. Doctors discovered he had a 100% blockage and that he was still actively having a heart attack. It was one of the most terrifying experiences of our lives. By the grace of God and the incredible medical team who acted quickly, he is still here today.
While Todd was in the hospital, in the middle of all the fear and uncertainty, we found out that I am pregnant. That moment — right there in that hospital room — changed everything. As scared as we were, finding out we are expecting gave Todd an extra strength and a powerful push to fight and get well. It brought hope into one of the darkest moments we’ve ever faced.
We are beyond grateful and so happy to be welcoming our baby. But as joyful as this news is, it has come during an incredibly difficult and overwhelming time for our family.
The road to recovery is going to take time. Todd’s doctors have placed him on light duty for the foreseeable future, which means he cannot work the hours he normally would. Our income has been significantly reduced just as our expenses have drastically increased.
We have applied for government assistance and explored every available resource we could find, but unfortunately, we do not qualify for any programs. We truly tried to find help before coming here. At this point, we are simply doing our best to stay afloat.
Between hospital bills, follow-up appointments, medications, and the income we’re losing during recovery — all while preparing for a baby — the financial pressure is building quickly.
If you are able to help, any amount — no matter how small — would mean more to us than we can put into words. Even the smallest gift helps. And if giving isn’t possible, simply sharing this page would be an incredible blessing to our family.
Donations will go toward:
• Hospital and medical bills
• Medications and follow-up care
• Household expenses while Todd is on restricted work duty
• Preparing for our baby’s arrival
Thank you for taking the time to read our story, for your prayers, and for any support you’re able to give. We are deeply grateful for our community during this difficult season.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Todd and Family
