Todd and Marisa, my son and daughter-in-law, are facing an incredibly difficult time. With two young children at home, their world was turned upside down when Todd suffered a stroke and heart attack caused by an infection in his heart valve. He has spent most of his time in the hospital’s ICU, fighting for his life and enduring unimaginable challenges. The road ahead is still uncertain, as Todd will need multiple surgeries, including open heart and cranial surgery. After these procedures, he will require extensive rehabilitation and recovery to determine how much function he will be able to regain.
