Support Todd's Liver Transplant Recovery
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,
We are asking for your assistance as Todd had a liver transplant on December 3 and is embarking on the long recovery process. As many of you know, Todd has been experiencing a rough patch over the last few years, thus his financial resources are limited.
Todd will have to stay in Charleston near the hospital for frequent checkups and medical care. He is required to have a 24/7 caregiver. Alyson, his sister, will be taking leave from work and traveling from NYC to Charleston for a month to serve as Todd’s main caretaker while he recovers from the transplant surgery. His parents, Susan and Don, will provide backup.
We are asking for assistance in the following areas:
◦ Medical expenses - We anticipate some significant costs. Todd has been in the hospital since late October and while he does have insurance, we know that it will not cover the full extent of the expenses.
◦ Lodging in Charleston - We are looking to rent an Airbnb for a month so that we can cook, do laundry, and try to establish a restful recovery environment.
We truly appreciate any assistance you are willing and able to contribute. Todd has a long road ahead. We are confident that this will be a new start for him and knowing he has the backing of friends and family will be more motivation for him to commit to his recovery and live a healthy, productive, and positive life.
Alyson will be managing the funds, and any money raised that is not needed by Todd will be refunded.
With deepest thanks
PS - Thank you to those who have already sent money directly!
