Support Todd Topham's Kidney Transplant Journey
Donation protected
Dear Friends – My name is Maureen Coughlin and I’m writing about a friend of mine and many of yours – a fellow Enduro rider – Todd Topham. He he’s lived in Southampton all his life and is the single father of his daughter, Taylor.
About 1.3 million people die from kidney disease each year. I don't want our friend Todd, to be one of them.
Todd has been living with kidney disease most of his life. His original kidneys that he was born with – stopped working and he was fortunate enough to have a kidney donated by his sister Tracey back in 1997.
Currently, the transplanted kidney is only working at 12% capacity. Todd needs another kidney transplant to survive. He will be starting dialysis treatments soon, while he waits for a donor.
Finding a kidney for transplant is not easy. He currently is on the “transplant list at Univ of Penn”. His cousin in FL is going through extensive testing (approx. 6 weeks) to see if she is a “match” for Todd.
Todd will be undergoing several tests, dialysis, etc. over the next months. He will be losing wages as he will be out of work for some time (prior to and after transplant surgery). If his cousin is a “match” – he and his cousin will have some additional financial burdens – medically; work related; and travel.
Todd’s next few months are filled with much uncertainty and stress – not to mention the healing process.
Todd needs our help – no matter how big or small – if you are able, please help him if possible.
THANK YOU ALL AND PLEASE HOLD TODD AND HIS FAMILY IN YOUR HEART AND PRAYERS.
