Hello from Dawn and Norresa. Both of us and others wanted to start this fund to get Toby some help after a bad accident.
A little over 2 weeks ago on Sunday May 19 Toby was in a serious scooter crash down on the Seattle Waterfront. A bystander happened to find him unconscious in the bike lane and called 911. There are no known witnesses to tell us what happened, not sure if he crashed or if someone hit him. Toby Frey doesn’t remember leaving the house to go on a ride nor anything about that day.
He was taken to Harborview where he was placed in neuro ICU then moved to recovery last week. He had 2 small bleeds on the left side of his brain and a fractured neck. He will be moved to another Harborview facility for rehabilitation tomorrow and it is expected that he will be in extensive rehabilitation there for 7-10 days. And after he is released he will still be doing rehab with an unknown time of recovery.
Obviously his shop has been closed since the accident so he currently has no income source. The purpose of this fund is to help with basic expenses and bills until he is able to get the shop opened up and at this time who knows when that could be. Any amount will be welcomed so if you are able to help it will be very appreciated. Also please share this with others.
Debby says the treatment at Harborview has been stellar, amazing people doing amazing healing!
And for anyone curious about the state of his scooter here is what Debby has to say “His scooter was retrieved at Fire Station #10 in 3 pieces. That’s the only thing he would repeat over and over was “where is my scooter”. Well, this girl was able to locate it!”.
If anyone is wondering how Ringo is doing, he is doing great, going to work with Debby every day and hanging out with his lady friends.
