Hello my name is James Esquibel this weekend turned into something I never expected. My dog Tobi went in for a routine neuter, but complications started almost immediately afterward. He developed a hematoma and began bleeding internally. The vet had to reopen him to find and close the internal bleed, but even after surgery, they couldn’t get the bleeding from his incision to stop.
We rushed him to the ER, where they told us he may have an underlying blood‑clotting condition that prevents him from forming clots. Because of this, he’s needed plasma transfusions and constant monitoring.
Tobi is truly one of a kind. If you’ve ever met him, you know how gentle, friendly, and loving he is. He’s the kind of dog who makes people smile just by walking into the room.
The emergency care, transfusions, and repeated vet visits have created bills far beyond what we were prepared for. We’re doing everything we can to help him recover, and we’re asking for support — whether through donations or sharing this page — to keep him getting the treatment he needs.
Thank you for caring about Tobi and for helping us through this.
